Welcome to Noah's Acre Farm! In 1995 when we first joined 4-H, my brother got our first farm animal, a light brown dutch bantum named Noah. Since we only have one acre we shortly became Noah's Acre. Our farm expanded rapidly to include all sorts of minitures: bantum chickens, call ducks, southdown sheep and Nigerian Dwarf Goats. Now, in 2008, my siblings and are are too old to be 4-H, but we are still actively involved as leaders. Today Noah's Acre is primarily a Nigerian Dwarf Goat farm.
Getting my first wether in 1997 from Gail Putcher, I learned the ropes of showing and handling Nigerian Dwarf Goats. In 2001 I got my first doe, Gay-mor's Lucky Proud Peacock, and called her Lilian. Lilian was the first and last doe that I ever bought. Since then I have been breeding and raising my own does in my one acre back yard.
Only having one acre keeps my goats close by. They get a lot of attention and are needlest to say, beyond spoiled.
